LingoNivoAdvent 24 doors · 24 mochi squishies · zero sugar · Halloween or Christmas

It isn’t twenty-four toys. It’s twenty-four mornings.

A bag of squishies gets opened once, tipped out on the carpet, and it’s over in four minutes. A calendar does something else entirely: it hands out one small thing a day for a month, and the best part of it isn’t even the squishy.

It’s the two seconds before the door tears open. Which one is it going to be. The ghost, the black cat, the little cauldron. That is what a child gets back every single morning, and it is the reason this works where a pile of the same toys doesn’t.

Behind each of the 24 doors is one soft mochi squishy. Nothing to eat, nothing that melts, nothing left over on the 25th except a row of small characters on a windowsill.

Halloween in October, Christmas in December

The purple Halloween box
Purple box

Happy Halloween

Ghosts, jack-o-lanterns, black cats, bats, skulls, a witch’s hat, a little cauldron. Twenty-four doors of mild, cartoon-friendly spooky — nothing in here will frighten a six-year-old.

The green Christmas box
Green box

Mystery Dumpling Countdown

Santas, snowmen, gingerbread men, reindeer, trees, penguins and dumplings. The same twenty-four doors, run through December instead.

Same format, same squishies, different cast. Most people who buy the Halloween one in September come back for the green box in November — there’s a two-box option in the dropdown that saves you six dollars if you already know you want both.

Both boxes tied together as a gift
The question every advent calendar has to answer

Yes, all twenty-four are different

The 24 Halloween squishies laid out

This is the whole Halloween box emptied out, one squishy per door. No repeats, no filler, no three-of-the-same ghost to pad it out to twenty-four.

It’s the single thing worth checking before you buy any calendar, and the reason most of them disappoint: they run out of ideas around day fourteen.

The 24 Christmas squishies laid out

One straight thing about these two photographs. They show the kind of characters in each edition and that all twenty-four differ — they are not a guaranteed door-by-door list. We’ve asked the maker for a photograph of the exact assortment and we’ll put it here when we have it. If knowing the precise line-up decides your order, message us before you buy rather than after.

What separates a good one from a landfill one

They’re actually satisfying to squeeze

A squishy squashed flat between two fingers
SquashSoft TPR that flattens completely under a thumb and comes back. Not a hard rubber lump.
A squishy stretched between two hands
StretchIt pulls a long way before it wants to go back — which is also how they get broken. Handle with some care.
A squishy in an open palm for scale
SizeAbout a walnut — two fingers wide. Small. See the safety note further down.

« This thing woke me up at 6AM every day… just to pop it. »
The one nobody else mentions

Twenty-four days, zero sugar

The default advent calendar is a month of chocolate before breakfast. For a lot of parents that’s the whole reason they go looking for something else in September, and then find nothing but more chocolate.

There is nothing edible in this box. Not a sweet, not a chocolate, not a gummy. Twenty-four small objects, and on the 25th they still exist.

Which also means no daily negotiation about whether it counts as breakfast.

A child opening a door before breakfast

One thing on the green box you’ll spot. The Christmas carton is printed with the supplier’s generic wording, « 24+ Fun & Delicious Treats ». There is nothing edible inside it. It is squishies, exactly like the purple box — we’d rather tell you now than have you open it looking for sweets.

Get the date right, it matters more than usual

A calendar that arrives late is worth nothing

123456789101112131415161718192021222324

Halloween — the purple box

Twenty-four doors, and Halloween is on the 31st. So the honest maths: start on 8 October and door 24 lands on Halloween night. Start on the 1st and you finish on the 24th, a week early.

Most people don’t think about this until the box is open. Now you have.

Christmas — the green box

This one is straightforward. Start on 1 December and door 24 falls on Christmas Eve, which is what a 24-door calendar is built for.

Which means the useful deadline is late November, not late December.

What we can’t promise you about delivery

Orders leave within 24–48 hours with tracking, and US delivery is typically 5–7 business days. Typically is not a guarantee, and we’re not going to print a cut-off date we can’t control the carrier on. If you are ordering close to the wire, order a week earlier than you think you need to — on this one product, arriving on day two instead of day one genuinely spoils it.

Nobody said it was for children

Half of these end up on a desk

An adult squeezing a squishy at a desk

Twenty-four small things to fidget with, one a day, for under twenty dollars. That is a perfectly good reason to buy one for yourself and not mention it to anyone.

It also lands well as a secret-santa or a desk gift under a twenty-dollar cap — it’s the only thing in the pile that keeps going for a month instead of being opened and forgotten in a minute.

We’re not going to tell you it treats anything. It’s a soft object that’s pleasant to squash. Some people find that useful at a desk. That’s the whole claim.

A folded banknote in a door
The cash trickA folded note fits in the door beside the squishy. Twenty-four days of pocket money, for a teenager who’d otherwise get an envelope.
Squishies lined up on a windowsill
It becomes a collectionBy about day ten they stop being surprises and start being a row on the windowsill, with gaps to fill.
Rinsing a squishy under a tap
They washWhen one goes sticky — and one will — warm soapy water, rinse, pat dry. Some people dust them with talc after.

Small parts. Not for under-threes.

These are walnut-sized objects and a toddler will put one in their mouth.

Not suitable for children under 3 years old — choking hazard. If there is a baby or a toddler in the house, this belongs somewhere they cannot reach it, and the daily door needs opening with an adult present rather than handed over at the breakfast table. That applies to the torn cardboard flaps too.

They stretch, so they snap back. Pulled hard between two children, soft rubber behaves like an elastic band and can catch fingers or an eye. Not for pulling at each other, and not for pulling to the limit — that is also how they tear.

We do not have a manufacturer’s age rating or a US toy-safety certificate for this item. We asked. Until we have one in writing we’re not going to print an age on a page to make it look official, and we won’t claim a certification we haven’t seen. Buy it for a school-age child, supervise the little ones, and if formal toy certification is something you need on file, this isn’t the right purchase for you yet.

Let's be straight with you

What we know, and what we don’t

Confirmed

  • 24 numbered doors, one squishy behind each
  • Nothing edible in either box
  • Soft TPR mochi squishies, roughly walnut-sized
  • All 24 designs differ within an edition
  • Nothing on the carton reveals which character is behind which number
  • Washable in warm soapy water
  • Two editions, sold separately or together

Not confirmed — so not claimed

  • Manufacturer’s minimum age and toy certification
  • The exact door-by-door assortment
  • Whether any designs are rarer than others
  • Whether any pieces are larger or more detailed than the rest
  • Exact box dimensions and squishy sizes in millimetres
  • A guaranteed delivery date

On what nineteen dollars buys. These are small squishies, not twenty-four presents. The surprise of the day, not the gift of the year — and if you go in expecting the second one you’ll be disappointed on about day three. Judged as twenty-four little things at well under a dollar each, spread over a month, it holds up. Judged as a Christmas present on its own, it doesn’t, and we’d rather say so.

Three crosses in our own column. If your child is set on a particular licensed character, buy that one instead — it costs two to three times more for the same cardboard, but you can’t substitute a generic ghost for the thing they actually asked for.

The two seconds before she opens it

That’s the bit. She stands there deciding whether to peek at the number first. Worth twenty dollars on its own.

Wish the age rating was on the box

Fine for my seven-year-old. But I have a toddler too and I’d have liked a proper age marking rather than working it out myself.

Exactly what it says, but if you’re picturing something bigger you’ll be surprised. As a daily thing it’s great.

Questions? We've got answers

Frequently asked questions

Halloween or Christmas — which do I pick?

Whichever season is next. On 1 September that’s the purple Halloween box, and there is time to spare. The green Christmas box is the November purchase. If you already know you want both, the two-box option in the dropdown saves you six dollars and one shipment.

Is there any chocolate or candy in it?

None. Not a sweet in either box. The green Christmas carton is printed with the supplier’s generic phrase « 24+ Fun & Delicious Treats » — ignore it, the contents are squishies.

Are all twenty-four really different?

Yes, within an edition. There are photographs of both editions emptied out further up this page. What we don’t have from the maker is the exact door-by-door list, so treat those photos as the type of characters rather than a guaranteed inventory.

Does the box give away what’s behind each door?

No, and that matters — some calendars print the character next to the number and destroy the surprise before the box is opened. Here the doors are just numbers over the artwork.

What age is it for?

School-age children, and plenty of adults. Not suitable for under-3s — the squishies are walnut-sized and a choking hazard. We don’t have a manufacturer’s age rating or a toy-safety certificate, so we’re not printing one.

How big are the squishies?

Roughly the size of a walnut, about two fingers wide — there’s a photo of one in an open palm on this page. We don’t have exact millimetre dimensions from the maker.

Are they durable?

Reasonably, if they aren’t stretched to the limit. TPR is soft and it will tear if a child pulls one as far as it goes. They survive being squashed indefinitely; they don’t survive a tug of war.

They’ve gone sticky. Is that normal?

Yes, it’s what soft TPR does once it picks up dust and hand grease. Warm soapy water, rinse, pat dry, and some people dust them lightly with talc afterwards. They come back.

When do I need to order by?

Sooner than feels necessary. Orders leave in 24–48 hours and US delivery is typically 5–7 business days, but we won’t print a guaranteed cut-off we can’t hold the carrier to. For an October start, order in the first half of September.

Which day should I start on?

For Christmas, 1 December — door 24 is Christmas Eve. For Halloween there are only 24 doors and Halloween is the 31st, so start on 8 October if you want the last door to fall on the night itself.

Can I buy several for a class?

Ask us before ordering. We don’t currently have volume pricing set up, and we’d rather tell you that than have you order ten at full price.

What if it turns up damaged or late?

Message us. A calendar that arrives after the countdown has started is no use to anyone, and we treat that as our problem, not yours. Full refund within 30 days of delivery either way.

LingoNivoAdvent

CHOKING HAZARD — SMALL PARTS. NOT SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN UNDER 3 YEARS. This product contains small objects which can be swallowed or inhaled. Keep away from babies, toddlers and pets. Adult supervision is required when the calendar is opened, and torn cardboard door flaps should be cleared away. Stretch warning: TPR squishies behave like elastic under tension and can snap back; do not stretch to the limit, do not pull between two people and do not aim at the face or eyes. Discard any squishy that has split or torn. Not a food product. Nothing in either box is edible; the printed phrase « 24+ Fun & Delicious Treats » on the Christmas carton is generic supplier packaging text and does not indicate any edible contents. Do not put in the mouth. Care: clean with warm soapy water and pat dry; keep away from heat sources, direct sunlight and sharp objects. Not confirmed by the manufacturer and therefore not claimed: minimum age rating, US toy-safety certification and testing, the exact door-by-door assortment, the existence of rare or oversized pieces, and exact dimensions. Photographs of the assortment illustrate the type of characters included and are not a guaranteed door-by-door inventory. Delivery: dispatch and transit times stated are typical, not guaranteed; no delivery date is warranted. This product is a toy and a sensory object; no health, therapeutic, medical, developmental or behavioural benefit is claimed or implied. Reviews reflect individual experiences.
