Description

The Lingo Doorway Punching Bag is a padded striking pad hung on four elastic straps between two tension bars. The bars brace inside an interior door frame by pressure, so nothing is drilled, screwed or bracketed into your wall or ceiling.

Punch it and the pad springs back toward you. You reset your feet, judge the distance and go again, so it trains timing and footwork. It feels closer to a double-end bag than a heavy bag.

Built for straight punches in doorways about 26 to 39 in (66 to 99 cm) wide. No app, no sensor, no subscription.

Why a Doorway Bag?

A heavy bag asks a lot before the first punch: a drilled ceiling joist or a stand, a spot on the floor for good, and often a conversation with your landlord.

A doorway is already there. Two bars go up by hand in about two minutes. The pad comes back at you, so you keep moving, and three short rounds fit between work and dinner. When you're done, it comes down in seconds and the doorway is yours again.

What's in the Box

  • 1 padded striking pad
  • 2 tension bars with padded white end caps
  • 4 elastic straps with metal chain links

Not included: gloves or hand wraps. Wear one or the other every session.

How to Fit It

Measure first: the clear opening at chest height, from the inside face of one jamb to the other. It's made for openings about 26 to 39 in (66 to 99 cm) wide.

1. Hold the top bar across the opening, above head height.
2. Twist it with both hands until it stops turning. Fit the lower bar the same way.
3. Clip on the four straps, with the pad between chest and head height.
4. Push both bars firmly. If neither moves, throw your first jab.

Push both bars before every session and retighten if either moves. Never hang from the bars, do pull-ups on them or swing on the pad.

Returns

You can return it within 14 days of receiving your order. It must be unused, in the condition you received it and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. Return shipping is at your cost and isn't refunded. Once we've received and inspected it, the refund goes back to your original payment method. We replace items only if they're defective or damaged. You Don't Need to Be a Boxer. Just a Doorway.

Three everyday reasons to put a target in a doorway instead of a corner.

You'd rather box than run.

Three rounds against a pad that keeps coming back feels nothing like a treadmill. That's the point.

It Hits BackThree Rounds

You rent.

Leave the drill in the closet. Two bars hold by pressure, so there's no bracket, no anchor and no hole to fill when you move out.

Lingo Doorway Punching Bag: two tension bars, four straps and one pad

How It Holds, Explained Plainly

Four questions renters ask before they order, answered with what the hardware actually does.

Held by PressureNo screws, no brackets, no holes.
Each bar is twisted tight by hand until it stops turning, and pressure between the jambs holds it there. Nothing goes into the wood, the wall or the ceiling, so there are no holes to patch when you move out. The white end caps are padded where they meet the frame. Fit it only on sound trim, and wipe the jamb and caps clean first, especially on glossy paint.
Staying PutTension does the work. Check it every session.
This isn't a pull-up bar holding your bodyweight. The pad hangs between two bars on four straps, so your punch goes into the elastic and is shared between both bars. Tension is what keeps it in place: push both bars before every session and retighten if either moves. Punch and let the pad come back; leaning on it or driving through it is what works a bar loose.
The ReboundHit it, and it comes back.
The straps stretch, then pull the pad straight back toward you. You reset your feet, judge the distance and get your hands up for the next punch. That's why it feels closer to a double-end bag than a heavy bag: it trains timing, distance and reaction rather than power.
Coming DownDown in seconds. Flat on a shelf.
Unclip the four straps, twist the bars loose by hand and lift them out slowly. Everything lies flat on a shelf, under a bed or behind a door, and you get your doorway back. Next session, fit it again and push-test both bars first.

Your First Week With the Rebound

The rebound is new to most people. Here's how the first sessions go, from fitting it to real rounds.

Day 1: Fit It

  • Measure the opening, inside jamb to inside jamb.
  • Top bar above head height, both bars twisted tight by hand.
  • Clip on the four straps, push both bars, then throw a jab.

Session 1: Meet the Rebound

  • Start with light jabs and watch the pad come straight back.
  • Keep your hands up and reset your feet before the next punch.
  • Two or three rounds of two minutes is plenty.

Week 1: Three 3-Minute Rounds

  • Three rounds of three minutes, one minute of rest between.
  • Jab, cross, one-two. Reset your feet between combinations.
  • Punch and let it come back. Don't push through the pad.

Every Session: Check It, Clear It

  • Push both bars before the first punch. Retighten if either moves.
  • Gloves or wraps on, every time.
  • Done? It comes down in seconds and the doorway is yours again.
5 Reasons Why

Why It Earns a Spot in Your Doorway

The pad hanging between two tension bars in a doorway
Reason 1

No Holes, No Brackets, No Stand

Two tension bars brace between the jambs by pressure. Nothing is drilled into the wall or ceiling, nothing stands on your floor, and there are no holes to patch when you move.

Reason 2

It Comes Back at You

The pad hangs on four elastic straps, so every punch sends it back. You reset, find your distance and go again. It feels closer to a double-end bag than a heavy bag.

Reason 3

Made for Doorways About 26–39 in Wide

Measure the opening inside jamb to inside jamb (about 66–99 cm). One tape measure and you know before you order. Archways, sliding doors and bifold doors aren't a match.

Hands clipping a strap onto the lower bar
Reason 4

Up in About Two Minutes. Down in Seconds.

Twist two bars tight by hand, clip on four straps, push-test, start. When you're done, it comes out of the frame and stores flat.

Reason 5

No Surprises on Day Two

It isn't a heavy bag, and it isn't silent: you'll hear the glove on the pad. It's built for jabs, crosses and short combinations, not hooks or kicks, and it trains timing and distance rather than power.

Two Different Tools. Pick the One That Fits.

  • Nothing drilled: two bars brace between the jambs by pressure. No ceiling joist, no bracket, no stand.
  • A target that moves: the pad comes back after every punch, so every round trains timing, distance and footwork.
  • Gives the room back: down in seconds and flat on a shelf, instead of claiming a corner for good.
  • Where a heavy bag wins: power, hooks and uppercuts. If that's the job, get a heavy bag.

Straight Answers Before You Order

Will it fit my door?
Measure first. It's made for openings about 26 to 39 in (66 to 99 cm) wide. Measure the clear opening at chest height, from the inside face of one jamb to the other, not the door and not the outside of the trim. Near either end of the range? Message us before you order.
What doors won't it work on?
Archways with no frame, sliding doors, bifold doors, openings without a solid vertical jamb on both sides, and frames with loose, cracked or rotten trim. Also openings outside roughly 26 to 39 in. If the frame is already damaged, don't put a tension bar in it.
Will it stay up while I'm punching?
Tension decides that. Twist each bar by hand until it stops turning, push both firmly before every session, and retighten if either moves. Punch and let the pad come back to you; leaning on it or driving through it is what works a bar loose.
Will it damage my door frame?
Nothing is drilled or screwed in, so there are no holes. The end caps are padded where they meet the wood, but any tension bar presses on the frame. So fit it only on sound trim, wipe the jamb and caps clean first (especially on glossy or fresh paint), and lift the bars out slowly.
How loud is it?
You'll hear it. The glove hitting the pad carries into the next room, so it isn't silent. What it doesn't have is a bag swinging on a chain, anything hitting the floor, or a bracket bolted into a shared wall or ceiling. If you share walls, pick your doorway and your hours with that in mind.
Can I throw hooks, uppercuts or kicks?
No. Straight punches and short straight combinations only: jab, cross, one-two. Hooks, uppercuts, kicks, knees and elbows load the pad sideways, and it isn't built for that.
Do I need gloves or wraps?
Yes, every session. They're not included; any basic bag gloves or hand wraps will do. Bare knuckles for three rounds is how hands get sore.
How high should I set it?
Top bar above head height, so the pad hangs between your chest and your head and you punch straight ahead, not up or down.
Can I leave it up all the time?
Yes, in a spare doorway. In one you walk through, take it down: it comes out in seconds and stores flat. Either way, push-test both bars before every session.
What if it's not for me?
You have 14 days from receiving your order to return it, unused and in its original packaging, with proof of purchase. Return shipping is at your cost and isn't refunded. Once we've received and checked it, the refund goes back to your original payment method. Message us to start a return.

Safety: Fit only in a sound interior door frame with a solid vertical jamb on both sides. Tighten both bars and push them firmly before every session. Never hang from the bars, do pull-ups on them or swing on the pad. Straight punches only, with gloves or wraps. Check the straps, chain links and clips before each session, and stop using it if anything is frayed or damaged.

The fit range is approximate: about 26–39 in (66–99 cm), measured jamb to jamb. Measure before you order.
