So here is our honest position on it. These are sold as UV resistant. We do not have a tested number of weeks or months before visible fading, and until we do we are not going to put “lasts for years” on this page.

We have not been given a tested time to visible fading — not in weeks, not in months, not in seasons. So you will not find “lasts for years” or a fade guarantee anywhere on this page, because we cannot stand behind either.
What we can say plainly: a south-facing porch in full sun all day is the hardest thing you can do to any faux stem, ours included. A covered porch, a north-facing box or an indoor table is an easier life for them.

How many bundles do I need for a window box?
We don’t have confirmed bundle dimensions from the maker, so we can’t give you a rule. From the photographs on this page, a standard window box takes a good handful and the set stretches to a box plus a couple of pots. Tell us your planter length and we’ll tell you what we know.
Will they fade in the sun?
They’re sold as UV resistant, and we have no tested time to visible fading — so we’re not promising you years. A south-facing spot in full sun is the hardest test for any faux stem. Under a porch roof or facing north they have an easier life.
Do they look fake up close?
Yes. There’s an unfiltered macro of the petals on this page so you can decide for yourself rather than take our word. The fabric has a visible weave and a matte finish rather than a shiny plastic sheen, but nobody is going to mistake them for real at arm’s length.
Why do they look flat when they arrive?
They’re compressed for shipping, like every artificial stem. Fan each bundle out with your fingers before you plant it — about ten minutes for all twenty-four, and it roughly doubles the volume.
Can they stay outside in rain and wind?
They’re made for outdoor use and rain won’t hurt them. We don’t have confirmed performance data for a full season of wind and weather, so in a really exposed spot, push the stalks deep and expect to check them after a storm.
How do I put them in?
Push the short plastic stalk straight down into soil, into florist foam, or in among an existing planting. No tools, nothing to fix or tie.
