Questions

My card is old, stained or folded. Will it still work?

Usually, yes. We straighten the photo and clean up the shadows, paper color and card lines around her writing. Stains or folds that cover the ink itself may still show, and words that are torn off or fully covered can’t come back.

Will you change her handwriting or fix her spelling?

No. We clean up the photo around her writing, not her recipe.

How dark and readable will the print be?

Her writing is printed into the cotton with a soft print finish. Cards written in ink print best. Very faint pencil can come out lighter, so send the sharpest photo you can.

How big is the recipe on the towel?

The towel is 28 x 28 in (71 x 71 cm). We size her recipe to fit the print area and to read well when the towel hangs on an oven handle.

What about writing on the back of the card?

Add a photo of the back in step 2. The towel is printed on one side, so the back goes in the same print as the front.

Can I add a title?

Yes, up to 32 characters, like “From the kitchen of Grandma Rose.” We set it in a classic typeface above her recipe. We never fake her handwriting.

Can each towel in my pack have a different recipe?

A pack prints the same card on every towel. For another recipe, add a second pack to your cart with that card’s photo.

The card is at Grandma’s. Can I order now?

Yes. Tick “I’ll email my card later”, then reply to your order confirmation email with the photo. We start printing once we have it. For the best chance of Christmas delivery, send it by Dec 8.

How do I take a good photo of the card?

Lay the card flat near a window, turn the flash off and hold your phone straight above it so the whole card fills the frame. No fingers, no shadows.

Can it be Dad’s or Grandpa’s recipe?

Of course. Any handwritten family recipe card works: Mom, Dad, Grandma, Grandpa, an aunt, or your own.

Which cards can’t you print?

We print family handwriting only: no printed cookbook pages, magazine clippings or recipe cards with a brand logo.

What is the towel like?

A white, lightweight 100% cotton tea towel, 28 x 28 in, hemmed on all sides. No stripes, no border and no hanging loop: her handwriting is the design.

Can I actually use it? How do I wash it?

Yes, it’s a kitchen towel. Machine wash cold on gentle, no bleach, tumble dry low, iron on low. Do not dry clean.

No. Towels ship folded, with no gift box, ribbon or gift tag.
