3 Reasons Every American Family Needs This Lantern Before the Lights Go Out
War talk is getting louder. The FBI says foreign hackers are already inside our power grid. Here are 3 reasons families are quietly getting ready, and the simple light they keep in every room.
Updated November 2026
Look at the light in the room you’re in right now.
Now picture it gone.
Not for an hour. For days.
No lamp. No TV. No Wi-Fi. Your phone at 12%. Your kids asking why it’s so dark.
Most people think that only happens in other countries.
Read these 3 reasons. Then decide.
Fears of World War III Are Rising. Fast.
In just the last few weeks, here’s what was said out loud.
Iran, November 1st. After months of war with the U.S., Iran warned that the next round could last longer than the last one.

Then its Revolutionary Guard added this:
“In a conflict with America, there are no geographical limitations.”Revolutionary Guard spokesman, Nov 1, 20261

No limits. Not just ships. Not just bases overseas.
Russia, September 30th. Moscow sent NATO a written warning: it would be ready to use nuclear weapons if NATO tried to cut off Kaliningrad, and it raised the possibility of strikes on “decision-making centers” in member countries.

Putin, October 31st:
“We are ready to fight a war with Europe, but we do not want it. If there is anyone who wants it, they should be ready.”Vladimir Putin, Oct 31, 20263

And the head of Czech intelligence warned that Russia could attack a NATO country within “months, not years.”4
Nobody knows what happens next. Not us. Not the experts.
But when the people with the weapons start talking like this, smart families don’t panic.
They get ready. Quietly. Early.

This isn’t a rumor from the internet.
The Director of the FBI said it to Congress, under oath:
“China’s hackers are positioning on American infrastructure in preparation to wreak havoc and cause real-world harm to American citizens and communities.”FBI Director Christopher Wray, testimony to Congress, Jan 31, 20245

Our electric grid is on his list. So are water plants and gas pipelines.
Then the FBI, the NSA and CISA put it in writing. They say Chinese state hackers are getting into U.S. critical infrastructure so they can launch disruptive attacks “in the event of a major crisis or conflict with the United States.”6

Read that again.
Not to steal secrets.
To be ready for the day there’s a war.
And in 2026, security researchers said they’re still inside parts of our infrastructure.7
In Modern War, the Lights Go Out First
Look at how wars are fought right now.
Not only with tanks at the border.
With the power.
Ukraine. Since 2022, Russia has hit Ukraine’s power grid winter after winter. In the first weeks, nearly half the grid went down and 10 million people lost electricity. In four years, about 12,700 drones and 2,900 missiles were aimed at its energy system.8

Sudan. This week. Drones knocked out power stations, one by one. The country’s grid is close to collapse.9

Now put it together.
Hackers already placed inside our grid. Leaders talking about war with no limits.
That’s how modern wars start: not always with a bomb on your street.
Sometimes, with your lights going out.
And nobody can tell you the date.

Not the generator. Not the canned food.
Those matter later.
In the first minutes, you need two things:
1. Light. To find your kids, the stairs, the medicine, the breaker box.
2. A charged phone. Your Wi-Fi dies. But your phone can usually still call and text on the cell network. Newer iPhones can even text 911 by satellite with no signal.10
But only if it has battery.
And here’s the trap: most people use their phone as a flashlight.
So the one thing that can call for help… dies first.

Meet the Lingo Pop-Up Solar Lantern
It’s a small lantern that takes care of both.
It charges in the sun or by USB. Pull the top up and the room lights up. Push it down and it’s a flashlight. And it has a USB port to top up a phone in an emergency.

- ☀️ Charges in the sun or by USB. Leave it on a windowsill. No outlet needed when the grid is down.
- 💡 Pull it open, the room lights up. The higher you pull, the brighter it gets. Closed, it’s a flashlight.
- 🔋 No batteries. No gas. No flame. Nothing to restock, nothing to catch fire, safe near kids and pets.
- 📱 Tops up your phone. Plug your phone into its USB port to keep it alive for calls and texts.
- 🪝 Hang it anywhere. Two folding wire handles: ceiling hook, tent, porch, car.
- 💧 Water-resistant (IPX4). Fine in rain and splashes.

Why Candles, Flashlights & Gas Lanterns Let You Down
Candles are an open flame next to kids, curtains and pets. U.S. fire departments see about 7,900 home fires a year started by candles, and about 1 in 3 starts in a bedroom.11
The flashlight in the drawer lights one spot, and the batteries are dead when you need them.
Gas lanterns burn fuel. They’re made for outside, not for a closed room with your family.
The lantern charges itself, lights the whole room, and never burns anything.

One Per Room. That’s the Math.
Federal emergency guidance says it plainly: have a flashlight for every household member.12
Because in a blackout, nobody shares one light.
One in the kitchen. One in the kids’ room. One in the bathroom. One in the car.
That’s why most families pick the Buy 2 + 1 FREE (3 lanterns) or the Family Pack (4 lanterns).

Real People, Real Blackouts
Verified-purchase reviews, word for word
“Hurricane is bearing down o. Our location. The lights are placed strategically in our house. Easily operated my wife. Light emitted is more than sufficient to illuminate our needs during a blackout”
Jedi1701G“These was a life saver during the black out we had one so I bought more and plan on getting more. They light up a room really good.”
Arthelda Willis“It’s just perfect. No batteries required. Used them the same day I received them. We had a blackout and they were very useful.”
Hydrangea57“Very good purchase! I live in Florida. So far we are lucky enough to avoid any hurricanes this year but I'm sure there will be another one day. Losing power at night sucks so these lanterns will be an awesome asset.”
Diane F.“Happy with these lights…..handy as a hanging lantern or a torch. Great in an electricity failure….or Armageddon. Good to be prepared and safer than candles.”
m**9“I have one in each bedroom...we are prepared...works as promised”

Questions
Can it really charge my phone?
It has a USB port to top up a phone in an emergency. It’s a top-up to keep you reachable, not a full charge. The maker lists the USB output for Android phones.
How does it charge?
In the sun through the solar panel on top, or with the USB cable (about 4 hours by USB, per the maker). Charge it now, then keep it on a windowsill.
Will my phone even work in a blackout?
Usually, yes. Your Wi-Fi goes down, but your phone can still call and text on the cell network. iPhone 14 and newer can also text 911 by satellite where there’s no signal. All of it needs battery.
Is it safe for kids?
There’s no flame, no fuel and no hot glass. It’s light (about 8 oz) and easy for kids to carry.
Can I use it outside?
Yes. It’s IPX4 water-resistant, so rain and splashes are fine. Don’t submerge it.
The Only Problem…
Every time war or blackouts hit the headlines, everyone wants the same thing at the same time.
And most people wait until the night it happens.
If you never need it, you’re out a few dollars.
If you do, it’s the only light in the house.
